Project ADV: Avenging Disco Vampire
Plot Summary
In the year 1976, the Toreador Prince, "Sugar Jay" Johnson, ran a great disco club called "Sugar Jay's Palace". The biggest problem was the Ventrue Primogen, Livingston Seigate. Livingston envied the money and power that Sugar Jay had, so he did something about it. On an overcast night in September, the Ventrue (with the assistance of some Asian gang members) assaulted Sugar Jay's Palace and killed everyone inside.
Falling into a state of Torpor, Sugar Jay was rescued by one of the friendly Nosferatu and shipped to San Francisco. From there, Sugar Jay moved to China and learned the ways of the Shaolin Monks. Placed on a Golcondic quest, and unable to take blood from a human, he secretly returned to America in 1978 to seek his revenge and reclaim his disco.
After a year in San Francisco, he brought his letter of introduction to St. Louis' White Dragon Dojo, and began to build his relationship with the leader of that school. He used the identity Bill Buckman. Now it is 1980, 4 years after his Palace was destroyed, and he is ready for vengeance.
During those four years, several lead figures have taken control of nearly all aspects of the St. Louis crime scene. The turf war between Nino "Deep Pockets" Black's two factions is to be settled tonight. He is the local drug lord and has one of the local cops on his payroll. Livingston Seigate has his hands deep into the drug trade also, because drugs are so prevalent in his disco, now called "The Glitter Ball". He and Nino have connections to Chinese gun runners and South American cocaine smugglers. Money, cocaine, and music are the name of the game. Guns and influence are the tools of the trade.
Another war that is about to take place is the Election War. The two candidates for Missouri's Senate seat are in St. Louis for a debate to take place tomorrow. The Republicans can be easily influenced with money, while the Democrats are in disarray from the current Senator's sexual exploits. The parties have to negotiate out a format for the debate, all the while attempting to dig up the dirt on each other. There is plenty of dirt.
The Republicans are a bunch of crooks, who
work under a well-coordinated system involving the use of quid pro quo
and extensive money laundering of the contributions from illicit activities.
The Republican candidate is the current Attorney General, so he has no problem
finding donors.
The Democrats have a Senator who is into Bondage with a very
famous movie director's wife. Fortunately for him, one of the staff has
"taken care of" that situation.
Into this mix three vampire factions vie for power, local police, DEA, FBI and CIA investigations take place, and several "innocent" people who are used, abuse. Sabbat and Giovanni are both in town to make matters worse. On top of all that, the Chinese and Soviet governments have plants in town who are working together to destroy the local economy and seize power for themselves. Finally, 800 year old Tremere and Brujah vampires are in town to finally settle things in a duel to the death.
